Arthur "Tikey" Cartier

March 28, 1940 — August 4, 2005

Arthur Tikey Cartier, 65, of Lebanon, husband of Joan (Eaton) Cartier, died Thursday Aug. 4, 2005 at Harrington Court in Colchester. He was born March 28, 1940 in Willimantic the son of the late Leo and Ethel Rose (Kelly) Cartier. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Viet Nam era and then served in the Reserves and retired from the National Guard with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Tikey was a proud member of the A Team . He had been employed as a heavy equipment operator for various local contractors. He was a member of the Lebanon Congregational Church, the Moose Lodge and the American Legion. Tikey was an avid bicyclist and loved taking the grandchildren on his go-cart. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 daughters and sons in law, Charlene and Nelson Petrone of Columbia, Candace and Steve MarcAurele of E. Granby and Cynthia and Timothy Ryan of Tolland; a brother Thomas of FL., 2 sisters, Dorothy Vertefeuille of Willimantic and Mary Deveau of FL.; 9 grandchildren, Ross, Leah, Ashley, Nicholas, Dylan, Jenna, Brooke, Parker and Lacey; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 10:00am in the New Lebanon Cemetery, Waterman Rd., Lebanon, with the Rev. Ron Lake officiating. There are no calling hours. Please omit flowers.
