Arnold Steven Kaplan

Arnold Steven Kaplan, 75, of Bozrah, CT passed away with his family by his side on Friday, May 5,?2018. He was born February 8,?1943 in Willimantic, CT to Leon and Esther (Berkman) Kaplan. Arney, as his friends called him, was raised and educated in Norwich, CT. He taught for 37 years at Fields Memorial School in Bozrah, and was loved and respected by his many students. Arney also was a dedicated advocate for the education of children with special needs. After retiring from teaching he worked for the State?s Attorney?s Office in Norwich, CT. He was an avid outdoorsman and was passionate about fishing. He was a lifetime member of the Bozrah Rod and Gun club and Westbrook fishing club. Arnold?is survived by two daughters; Marcy Kaplan, and her husband Howard Flacker; Dana Kaplan Jolly, and her husband Michael Jolly Sr.; grandson; Michael Jolly Jr.; Arnold was adored and loved deeply by his wife of 53 years Eileen who passed away in September 2017. A committal service will be held at Bozrah Rural Cemetery on Schwartz Rd, on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 2:00PM.
