Arnold D. Burnham, 88, of Mansfield, husband of Florence (Eldredge) Burnham, died Saturday evening May 13, 2006 at home with his family at his side. He was born May 25, 1917 the son of Otis and Gertrude (Barrows) Burnham. Arnold was a school bus driver in Mansfield and also operated a poultry farm for many years. He also delivered the Hartford Times and served as the custodian at the Buchanan Center in Mansfield. He and his wife Florence also operated Acorn Hill Antiques. In addition to Florence, he is survived by a son and daughter in law, Barry and Dru Burnham of Mansfield, a daughter and son in law Deborah and Wayne Adams of Lebanon, 3 grandchildren, Mark Lucas and his wife Andra of Woodstock, Todd Lucas and his wife Beverly of Rocky Hill and Heather Lucas of Watertown, MA., a great granddaughter Sarah Lucas of Woodstock, a sister in law Polly Burnham of Storrs, a niece Vicki Sullivan of Clinton and a nephew Wesley Burnham of Lebanon. His was predeceased by his brother William Burnham. His family will receive friends at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Tuesday between 6:00 and 8:00pm. Funeral services will be private with burial in Mansfield Center Cemetery.
