Arline M. Seaforth

June 20, 1925 — February 4, 2004

Arline Marie (Allston) Seaforth, born in Newport, Rhode Island on June 20, 1925, died peacefully at home in Windham Center early Wednesday morning Feb. 4, 2004. Her parents were the late Herbert and Lucinda (Ashe) Allston. Arline was a long-time active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Willimantic. She retired from teaching seventh and eighth grade at Sayles Elementary School in Baltic, Connecticut and was named "Teacher of the Year" in 1986. She was active in the Windham Historical Society, served on the Windham Library Board, and was a docent at the Benton Art Museum at UConn for many years. Arline is survived by her husband Frank of Windham Center, a son Frank, Jr. and his wife Elaine of Saybrook, Connecticut; a daughter Lesley, of Newport, Rhode Island; two grandsons, Matthew of Saybrook and Stephen of Hamden; and a great grandson Christopher; a sister Ethel L. Wosencroft of Kingston, Rhode Island, many nieces and nephews from coast to coast along with many good friends. Calling hours are Sunday, February 8, 2004 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. The funeral service will be held in Newport, Rhode Island at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that you make a donation to the Windham Historical Society, P.O.
