Arlene E. Nye

Arlene E. (Jones) Nye, 83, of Willimantic, formerly of Coventry, died Tuesday Feb. 16, 2010. She was born September 1, 1926 in Washington, Maine, moving to Connecticut in 1941. Arlene was predeceased by her husband William Nye, several siblings and her son Stanford "Butch" Nye. She is survived by two children, Nancy Bushy of Florida and Donald Nye Sr. and his wife Lori of Mansfield; daughter in-law Gloria Nye of Mansfield, brother Stanley Jones and his wife Millie of Storrs, three grandsons, five granddaughters and ten great grand children. Arlene worked for National Silk for many years and Pfizer for twenty three years. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W. She was a great wife and mother. She was always there to lend a hand. She will be missed. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday Feb. 21st between 2:00 and 4:00pm at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11:00am at First Congregational Church of Coventry, 1171 Main St., Coventry. Interment will follow in Nathan Hale Cemetery, Coventry.
