Arlene L. Gray

Arlene L. Gray, 94, wife of the late Albert B. Gray, passed away peacefully at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, MA on February 7, 2018. She was born in Framingham, MA to the late John A. and Kathleen L. (McFaden) Martin. She was the sister to the late William M. Martin and Marion R. Rowan. As a graduate of Framingham High School and Framingham State College with a degree in Home Economics, Arlene went on to earn a master?s degree in teaching from the University of Maryland. She became a 4H Agent in the State of Connecticut where she met her husband. Arlene and Albert spent 51 very happy years together living in Columbia, CT. They enjoyed travelling to many of the states and abroad, always sharing their experiences with family and friends. Arlene was a founding member of the Historical Society of Columbia, and very active with the Joshua Tract Conservation and Historic Trust and the Beckish Senior Center. She is survived by 38 nieces and nephews. Arlene?s family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 from 9:00am-10:15am at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195), Willimantic, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00am at St. Columba Church, 328 Rte. 66, Columbia, CT. Burial will follow at a later date.
