Arcadia Ruiz

Arcadia Ruiz, 89, of Willimantic, died Thursday Oct. 16, 2008 at Windham Hospital. She was born March 25, 1919 in Puerto Rico the daughter of Hipolito Ruiz and Geronina Rivera. Arcadia had resided in Willimantic for fifteen years, moving from Syracuse, NY. She was the loving mother of Jose, Ramona and Manuel Gonzalez and Israel, Milagro, Domingo, Modesta, Gregorio and Julio Garcia. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. All services will be held at Iglesia Cristiana Pentecostal Church, 20 Hope St. Willimantic with Rev. Anna Falcon officiating. Services will be held Monday evening following reception of the casket at 4:00pm. Services will conclude at the church on Tuesday at 10:45am followed by a graveside service in New Willimantic Cemetery. Arrangements through Potter Funeral Home, Willimantic.
