Antonio "Tony" Serrano

Antonio "Tony" Serrano, 63, of Storrs, CT, passed away May 20, 2014 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Puerto Rico, Tony held roots in Willimantic before relocating to Storrs where he worked for over 26 years in the UCONN dining services. He had a charming personality and was popular with the students. Tony had a passion for gardening, masonry, woodwork, and photography. He enjoyed beautifying his communities with colorful landscape creations. He is predeceased by his wife Nilda Castanon, his mother Francisca Pagan and father Luis Serrano of Puerto Rico, and brother Angel Luis Serrano of Willimantic. Tony is survived by wife Yolanda Arguelles, his daughters Lizandra Serrano and Tiana Hacker, his sisters Lourdes Serrano, Nilda Gonzalez and his brother Hector Gonzalez. Along with several grandchildren. A public viewing will be held Monday, May 26, 2014 at The Potter Funeral Home in Willimantic, CT from 6-8PM.
