Antoinette J. Macione

March 2, 1925 — April 15, 2015

Antoinette Macione of Willimantic died April 15, 2015. She was born March 2, 1925 in Willimantic, daughter of the late Russell and Anne Marie (Tudisco) Macione. Ms. Macione worked for many years for Pratt and Whitney during World War II and later in other occupations the most recent being as an assistant librarian for the Windham Schools. She was a thoughtful landlord and friend for many Eastern State University students who lived with her during their college days. She is survived by sister, Francine Dussault and her husband Robert of Glastonbury, CT and also survived by a brother, her best friend Joseph Macione and his wife Jennie of Tolland, CT. She was predeceased by a brother James and sisters Anne McCaughey, Lynn Koch, Marie Fortin, Rose Sakowski, Susan Dennis and Nan Sarra. She also leaves many nieces and nephews, as well as, highly valued friends Eleanor Miller. Helen Boucher, Phyllis Truska, Irene Goss, Donna Grande and others with whom she had many cherished memories. The family will receive friends at 10:00AM on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (RT. 195) Willimantic, CT. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery on Club Rd. in Windham, CT. Antionette deeply appreciated the personal and caring company of Tim Fairley and Amy Macione with whom she enjoyed weekly trips to her favorite places, in addition to assuring that she would have weekend dinners and holidays with family. Antoinette and her family also appreciated the abundance of loving care from the staff members of St. Joseph's Living Center. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the St. Joseph Living Center, 14 Club Rd. Windham, CT 06280.
