Annie H. Madison

Annie H. Madison, 81, of Columbia, wife of James Madison, died Sunday, February 20, 2005 at the Windham Hospital. She was born August 17, 1923 in Rockville, the daughter of Stanley and Helen (Zajac) Hopoweic and had lived in Columbia for the past 35 years. In addition to her husband she is survived by a sister, Sophie Baskowski of Vernon, a brother, William Hopoweic of Rockville, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic. Her family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
