Annie Rathbun Hall

Annie Charlotte Rathbun Hall, 101, widow of C. Sidney Hall passed away on Saturday May 4, 2013 in Mansfield. She was the daughter of Clarence Post Rathbun and Annie Charlotte Bjorklund Rathbun. She was born in Hebron on June 4, 1911 and was a resident of Mansfield since 1935 when she married and came to Mansfield from Hartford to live. She had been employed at the Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Co. in Hartford for 5 years prior to moving to Mansfield. Annie was a secretary at UConn for 20 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of subordinate, Pomona State and National Granges. Annie had served as a delegate to State Grange Sessions. She was also a member of CSEA Chapter 408 while at UConn. She was a member for First Church of Christ in Mansfield Center where she once served as a deaconess and on the Pastoral Flower Committee. She performed volunteer duties at the Natchaug Nursing Hospital for 10 years and also volunteered at Windham Hospital for a number of years. Annie was a member of Radiant Chapter OES #11 of Windham and also a member of the Windham Community Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and a member of AARP National and Local Chapter 3118. She leaves a sister, Janet Prout of Boston and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Mansfield Center Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
