Anne Spoerl Obituary
Anne Spoerl, 91, of Scotland, CT. Beloved wife of Robert Spoerl, passed away on December 7, 2020. She was born in Massachusetts, daughter of the late Orize and Albert Walsh. Anne graduated from West Springfield High in 1946. She worked for the Farm Credit Admin., Federal Land Bank in Springfield, MA. Anne married her first husband Edward Clifford, who passed away in 1955. Anne worked part time for manpower and was assigned to the Eastern States Exposition where she met and then married Robert, a conservation officer for the State of CT., in 1961. She worked in the Business Dept. as an aide at PHHS, and also with the Homemakers and Companion Service. Anne loved to travel, and her favorite place was Cape Cod. She loved spending time with her family, antiquing, traveling with Robert, gardens, and doing embroidery. She is survived by her husband Robert of 59 years. Daughter Susan Tobias and husband Lawrence of NC, son Robert and wife Carol of NH, son Fred Spoerl and Gail Landon of Hampton, CT, daughter Linda Spoerl and Mike Blasko of Scotland, CT, grandson Edward of NH, Grandson Matthew and wife Emily of MD, and great-grandson Ben. A special thank you to her caregivers Mavis and Kristin. Anne’s services will be at the convenience of her family.
