Anne M. Triska of Willington, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed into the arms of God on Monday December 29, 2003 in Mansfield. Anne was the wife of the late Frank C. Triska. She was born April 21, 1907 in New York City, daughter of the late Andrew and Katherine (Ruscak) Tomaskovic. Anne was employed at the Parizek Brothers Button Factory in Willington and Putnam, at Pratt & Whitney during World War II, "Annie the Riveter", and retired from the University of Connecticut in 1968. She was a communicant of St. Jude Church in Willington, a member of St. Jude Guild and Choir, the Czechoslovak Society, the Women's Auxiliary of the Willington Hill Fire Department and the Willington Senior Center. After her retirement she enjoyed many years of traveling with family or on Willington Senior trips throughout the Northeast and Canada. She also took two trips to Czechoslovakia to visit family. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ethel T. and Henry Krapf of Ashford, her son and daughter-in-law, Frank G. and Georgette Triska of Stafford Springs, nine grandchildren and their spouses, Rande and Jim Clark, Douglas Krapf, Lynn and Marcel Cote, all of Ashford, Diane and Jim Lundell of Stratham, NH, Donna and Steven DeNardis, Cheryl Triska, Paul Triska and Frank Triska, all of Stafford Springs, 17 great grandchildren, Bryan, Timothy, Stacey and Matthew Clark, Jeremy Cote, Sarah Dunnack, Erin Conlon, Amber and Katherine Lundell, Anthony and Theresa DeNardis, Paul and Michael Julian and Brittany Brocuglio. Anne also leaves a sister, Emily Keeton of Willington, a sister-in-law, Helen Tomasko of Stratford, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by four siblings. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. prior to the procession to her Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jude Church, 25 Old Farms Rd. Willington. Burial will follow in St. Phillip Cemetery, Ashford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Church, P.O.
