Anne M. Sikorsky, 84, of Mansfield, died Saturday July 27, 2002 at the Windham Hospital. She was born March 9, 1918 in Willimantic the daughter of Edward and Helen (Belitzky) Sikorsky. She had been employed for 30 years at the Electro-Motive Manufacturing Co. prior to retiring from Brand-Rex. Anne was a lifelong member of the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Willimantic where she had served as the choir director and was very active in church functions. She was a former member of the Eastern Connecticut Symphony and had performed as lead violinist. Anne was also a member of the Mansfield Senior Center. She is survived by a nephew Ted Garmalinsky of Bristol, a great niece Laurie Jagielski of Bristol and a great niece Karen Talarico of PA. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:00pm with a prayer service to be held at 7:30pm. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. prior to the procession to her 10:00 a.m. funeral service at the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 414 Valley St. Willimantic. Burial will follow in the Holy Trinity Orthodox Cemetery, Windham.
