Mrs. Anna Corcoran Klase of Storrs, passed away peacefully at Douglas Manor in Windham. She was 89 years old. The eldest daughter of the late Nellie D. LaBonte of Storrs, Anna was born in New London on January 19, 1924. She lived and worked in Storrs for the past 60 years retiring from UCONN in 1989. Anna was an avid Red Sox fan, living long enough to understand they had won their third world series since 2004 when they broke their 86 year long losing streak. She also loved her "Uconn Girls" and looked forward to the season opening. Anna, fun loving and outgoing was loved by all who met her and known as "Auntie" by most. Her circle of friends spanned three generations. In addition to her mother, Anna was predeceased by her step father, George LaBonte of Storrs, her brothers Joseph Corcoran of Storrs, and Charles Corcoran of Mansfield Center, and her sister Alva Rogers of North Windham. She is survived by her son Lance Klase and his wife Patty of North Windham, her nephews and their spouses Terry and Song Corcoran of Longmont Co, Glenn and Pam Rogers of North Windham, Randy and Deb Corcoran of Mansfield, Gregg and Lisa Corcoran of Lebanon, and her nieces and their spouses Lindy and Jack Corey of North Windham, Penny Corcoran of Storrs, and Wendy and Dan Parker of Mansfield Center. Anna is also survived by her long time co-worker and best friend Louise Vincelette and her caretaker and lifelong friend Martha Baker. All services will be private.
