The eldest daughter of David M. Silva and Katherine (Flannery) Silva, Ann-Marie is survived by her two younger brothers, David Silva Jr. and Dennis Q. Silva. Her life was enriched by the love she shared with her late husband, John C. Schlaefer, and was further blessed with her children, David J. Schlaefer and his partner Scott Anderson, and Janet A. Burgess and her husband James R. Burgess. The joy of her life was her granddaughter, Amanda J. Burgess, with whom she shared countless precious moments.
Ann-Marie was a proud graduate of Ellington High School, where her passion for music and the arts grew. Her love for music led her to volunteer her talents. She played music for senior citizens and nurtured the next generation of musicians through her own music studio in Bolton, CT.
