Andrew M. Wittstein

Andrew Wittstein, 70, of Coventry, Connecticut died October 18, 2017 at Hartford Hospital from complications of a long illness. He was born on July 18, 1947 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Andrew graduated from Boston University in 1969 and the University of Connecticut Law School in 1972. He practiced law in New Milford, Connecticut for a short time and then in 1974 became an Assistant State?s Attorney in the Litchfield Judicial District. During his 35 year career there, Andrew received several awards including the Liberty Bell award. Andrew also served on the Board of Trustees of Temple Sholom in New Milford, Connecticut. He is predeceased by his parents Ansel and Lillian Wittstein. Andrew is survived by his wife of 47 years, Michelle Prunier Wittstein, daughter, Jeanette Wittstein of Coventry, daughter, Mollie Wittstein, her son Isaac Brozowski, and her partner Jim Berger of Mansfield, and son, Max Wittstein of Bloomfield. Andrew is also survived by his brother, Dr. Peter Wittstein and his wife, Jenny of Springfield, Ohio, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
