Andrew Horila Obituary
Andrew Gabriel Horila Jr., 85, of Ashford, CT, died Thursday, April 9, 2020 at St. Joseph Living Center. He was born in Hartford Hospital, on November 30, 1934 to the late Andrew Sr. & Esther Horila.
He served in the US Army as a Track Vehicle Mechanic at Fort Lewis, Washington and in the National Guard. He worked as a truck driver for 40 years. Andy also belonged to the Eastern Conn. Sportsman Club, National Rifle Assoc., Ashford Lions Club, American Motorcycle Association and North American Hunting Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, snowmobiling and motorcycles. Andy loved gardening, tractors and other construction equipment.
He is predeceased by his son Jerry, sisters Marion and Val. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Frances, and 2 children, Ken and his wife Lynn of Tolland, and Brenda and her husband Alan of Windham; 3 grandchildren, Kyle, Kelly and Kelsey; brother Allen and his wife Michelle of Ashford; brother in-law Glenn and Judy of Mass., brother in-law Raymond and Marilyn of New Haven, sister in-law Marion of Oregon, sister in-law Carol and Dennis from Minn. He is also survived by several foster children, nieces, nephews and cousins.
