Allen Brian Wojick, 69, born in Willimantic, CT passed away on April 26, 2014. He was the son of Louis and Julia Wojick and brother of Richard Wojick Sr. He graduated from Wyndham High School class of 1962. He then worked at the American Thread Company before enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1965. He served two years active duty and 4 years in the reserves before being honorably discharged in 1971. His duties included a tour in Vietnam where his military decorations included the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and he was a recognized Sharpshooter (Rifle M-14). Allen worked at numerous businesses throughout the area including 20 years with Brand-Rex Corporation. Allen's passion was researching genealogy tracing his family and friends' origins back over 500 years. He is survived by nephew Richard Wojick Jr. of Beavercreek, OH; nephew Stephen Wojick of Duluth, GA; and niece Deborah Barnes (Wojick) of Seffner, FL. The burial service with military honor guard will be held at 10 a.m., Friday May 2nd, St. Joseph's Cemetery, Windham, CT. A memorial Service will be held at 11am on Saturday, May 3rd at St. Paul's Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Covenant Soup Kitchen, Willimantic.
