Alice L. Titterington

Alice (Donnelly) Titterington, 85, passed away on Tuesday September 19, 2006. She was born in Stow, Massachusetts on January 8, 1921. She was the widow of James Titterington, who predeceased her in March of 1986. She was an active member of the Baptist Fellowship Church in Columbia, CT. for approximately 30 years. Before retiring in 1987, she was employed at Arbor Acres in Glastonbury. Alice was a warm, loving person and touched people's lives in a very special way. She was loved by everyone who knew her. She was always quick with a joke, and enjoyed spreading humor wherever she went. She was predeceased by her son, James F. Titterington, in June of this year. She leaves two daughters and a daughter-in-law; Joy Harmon and her husband, Gary, of Portland, Maine; Sandra Davies and her husband, Andrew, of Marlborough, CT. and Laurel Titterington of Oak Ridge, NJ. She has 8 grandchildren; James Titterington and his wife, Peg, of Stanhope, NJ; Matthew Titterington and his wife, Josephine, of Windsor Locks, CT; Frank Saglio of Durham, NH; Jaclyn Saglio of Livorgno, Italy; Phillip and Joshua Saglio of Marlborough, CT. and Molly and Lori Harmon of Portland, ME. She has 4 great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She had a very strong spirit and will be greatly missed. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Baptist Fellowship, 195 Rte. 6, Columbia.
