Alice Gamache Obituary
Alice T. (Moore) Gamache, 92, of Willimantic, wife of the late Roland Gamache, died Friday, February 17, 2023 at home. She was born in Willimantic, the daughter of the late Philip and Rose (Bernier) Moore. Alice was a graduate of Windham High School, class of 1948. She was a bookkeeper for the State of Connecticut and Akim Engineering for many years. Alice enjoyed traveling, playing bingo, playing the slots and working in the yard. Alice is survived by two nephews, James Moore and his wife Gail and Gary Moore; niece Jennifer Moore; godchildren, Gary Moore, Debra Baker, great niece Angel and a great great niece Clara. She was predeceased by a brother Robert Moore, a great niece Heather Moore Bernand and a best friend and sister-in-law Gladys Despres. A special thank you to Juliana Addie for the loving care she gave Alice the past five years. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Heather Moore Bernand Scholarship Fund c/o of NFA Foundation, 321 Broadway, Norwich, CT 06360. Alice’s family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30am to 10:30am on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am at St. Mary Church, 46 Valley St., Willimantic, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
