Alfred Joseph Sisson

Alfred J. Sisson, 71, of Storrs, husband of Lee (Scully) Caouette Sisson, died Friday August 22, 2003 at Windham Hospital. He was born September 28, 1931 in Montville, the son of the late Hayward Leon and Josephine (Sacilowski) Sisson. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and prior to his retirement had been employed for 31 years as a machinist at Electric Boat in Groton. Alfred was a former member of the V.F.W. in Waterford, currently a member of the Irish Club of Willimantic and a devoted fan of the UConn Huskies Women's Basketball team. In addition to his wife he is survived by 4 stepchildren and their spouses, David and Sandy Caouette of Virginia, Kate and Jim Johannsen of Florida, Ray Caouette of Scotland, Mark and Gwen Caouette of Georgia, a daughter Gail (Sisson) Wiberg of Norwich, a sister, Eleanor Sisson of Miller Beach, IN, 6 grandchildren, Debbie and David Signs, Amy and Joseph Caouette, Kimberly Caouette and Alisha Caouette. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. prior to the procession to his Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Willimantic.
