Alexander Dobrolet,89, of Willimantic, died Saturday morning March 15, 2008 at Hartford Hospital. He was born Aug. 7, 1918 in Willimantic the son of Anton and Mary (Ereshena) Dobrolet. He was a 1936 graduate of Windham High School. In March of 1944, Alexander entered the U.S. Army serving in the European Theater of Operations. From Dec. 1944 to May 1945 he was a prisoner of war and was discharged in Nov. 1945. He had been employed by Colt Firearms, American Thread Co., was a skilled mason and later retired from Brand Rex as a warehouseman. He is survived by a sister Julia Chaput of Willimantic and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Harry. Relatives and friends are invited to assemble at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Tuesday at 10:00am prior to his 11:00am graveside service with military honors in St. Joseph Cemetery, Club Rd., Windham.
