Alda B. Stout

Alda B. Stout, 52, of Columbia, wife of Joe B. Stout, died unexpectedly on Thursday Feb. 9, 2006 at the Windham Hospital. She was born April 16, 1953 in Norwich. Alda was employed by Structural Graphics in Essex. A strong willed loving wife and mother, Alda lead a very disciplined life enjoying many types of physical fitness to the fullest, especially cycling. She also enjoyed gardening and building stone walls at her home. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Brant of Columbia. She was predeceased by her mother Clara Barclay. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Monday between 2:00 and 3:00pm with the funeral service beginning at 3:00pm. Cremation will take place at Maplewood Crematory, Norwich. In lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 238 W. Town St., Norwich, CT. 06360.
