Albert S. Vertefeuille, 72, of Chaplin, husband of Elaine (Mailhot) Vertefeuille, died Friday, February 1, 2008, at the Windham Hospital. He was born February 26, 1935 in Hartford, the son of the late Simeon and Marie Rose (Samson) Vertefeuille and had lived in Chaplin for the past 46 years. He served in the U. S. Navy was employed as a machinist at Moldex in Putnam and for twenty years at Triumph Mfg. in East Hartford from which he retired. After retirement he was employed part time at Bolduc Machine in Chaplin. In addition to his wife of 53 years he is survived by three children, Mark Vertefeuille of Thompson and his wife Robin, David Vertefeuille of Chaplin, Vicky Assis and her husband Fabio of Los Angeles, CA, a brother, Norman Gene Vertefeuille of Washington State, a stepsister, Marie Webb of Coventry seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his stepfather Ulric Hervieux, a brother, Robert Vertefeuille, a sister, Germaine Moffit and a stepbrother, Roger Hervieux. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Cemetery, Club Rd.
