Albert J. Trudeau, Jr., 75, of Chaplin, husband of Priscilla (Provencal) Trudeau of 56 years, lost his battle to Lyme Disease surrounded by his family on Wednesday February 23, 2011 after a long courageous battle. Albert was born on July 26, 1935 in Stafford Springs, and was the son of Albert Trudeau Sr. and Theresa Luchon. He is also survived by his brother Joseph, his wife Rita, and their 3 children, Joey, Tammy and Tracy; and his brother George, his wife Pat and their 3 children, Sheryl, Sharon and John. Albert served in the United States Navy, also on the Gun drill team. Al worked for Pratt and Whitney for 35 years where he worked as a Quality Control Analyst, and also invented an aircraft part which he received and award for. Al was an AVID NASCAR fan, working years ago with his brother Joe building and racing cars every weekend. That passion was passed onto his son Dave, whom he built /designed several competitive race cars with and proudly supported each and every weekend, never missing a single race. He also passed that passion onto his four daughters, whom he was proud to work with to receive pit crew of the year. Al again passed his love onto all of his grandchildren, traveling to watch them race as well. Al loved to travel with his wife and five children to Disney World and Lake Winnipesaukee each and every year. Al is also survived by his five children, daughter Lynn Trudeau of Chaplin, daughter Cindy Trudeau and her 2 sons, Jordan and Kyle Hardwick of Chaplin; son Dave Trudeau, wife Nancy and their 4 children, Breandan, Kyle, David Jr and the "princess" Julia; daughter Lori Jurcik, her husband Randy, their 2 sons, Travis and Zach all of Chaplin; daughter Sandra, FiancAC. Kurt Robinson, his son Keith, and their 4 legged friend "Ace". Albert was a man of many talents, best husband, father, and brother in the world, he gave so much and we will forever miss him. His family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday Feb. 27th between 2:00 and 5:00PM at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested in the name of Albert Trudeau Jr. to Lyme Disease Foundation, P.O. Box 332, Tolland, CT. 06084.
