Albert Shashok, 88, of Windham Center passed away on September 2, 2005. Albert was born in Willimantic, Connecticut on April 11, 1917, the son of Harry and Mary Shashok. He attended area schools and graduated in the 1936 class of Windham High School. In 1941 he married Vera (Zlotnick) Shashok of Ashford, Connecticut. He worked at the American Thread Co. from 1938 to 1971, rising to the position of General Foreman. From 1971 to 1981 he worked as General Foreman at Automatic Business Products. His retirement years were spent at home helping with the family business, the Plant Patch Greenhouse. In addition to his wife of 64 years, he leaves a son Andrey Shashok, a daughter Sandra Owens, and four grandchildren. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, 6:00-8:00pm at the Potter Funeral Home, with a service on Thursday at 10:00am at the funeral home followed by interment at the South Chaplin Cemetery.
