Albert N. Penardo

Albert N. Penardo, 82, of Echo Road, Coventry, CT, husband of the late Edith J. Penardo, died peacefully at his home on Monday, July 27, 2009. Born in Coventry, RI, on September 11, 1926, he was the son of the late Frank and Blanche (Berard) Penardo, and lived in Coventry, CT for the past 50 years. Al had been employed by Brand Rex of Willimantic, as a machinist and mechanic, retiring in 1993. Until September of 2008, Al was an active member of the Willington Seniors Golf League, and was President of the Seniors Bowling League at Lucky Strike Lanes. He is survived by two daughters, Deb Wojick of Windham, CT and Cindy Corcoran of Pawtucket, RI, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Irene Belanger, Rose Velerick, Leo and Paul Penardo, all of RI and Theresa Gulisano of New York. His family will receive relatives and friends on Friday between 5:00 and 7:00pm at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic.
