Agatha Y. Hawley, 76, formerly of 76 School St., Plainfield, died early Thursday morning April 7, 2005 at Douglas Manor in Windham, after a brief illness. She was born Aug. 22, 1928 in New Haven, a daughter of the late Joseph and Marie (Ridolf) Youngs. She attended West Haven High School. Agatha was married Sept. 9, 1950 to David E. Hawley who survives her. She had been a resident of Plainfield since 1956 where she had dedicated her life to her family and home. She was known as a true giver who put all those she loved ahead of herself and will be missed by everyone whose life she touched. Agatha was a parishioner of All Hallows Church in Moosup and was a member of the Franciscan Order, Fraternity of Korban in Oakdale. In addition to her husband David, she is survived by two daughters, Kathleen H. Hollister of Andover and Margaret L. Blevins of Norwich; two sons, Robert J. Hawley of Plainfield and David Lawrence-Hawley and his wife Martha of Coventry; 10 grandchildren, a great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews as well as a life-long friend, Betty Tyrrell of Windsor Locks. She was predeceased by a brother Joseph P. Youngs formerly of Falmouth, ME. and his daughter Marie, a sister Rose M. Cossaboom formerly of North Carolina and a son in law Gregory Hollister formerly of Andover. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00am at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic, with assembly at the church. Burial will follow in South Cemetery, Hampton.
