Adolph A. Schweitzer, 83, of Lebanon, husband of Helen (Kurcinik) Schweitzer, died Tuesday September 25, 2001 at home. He was born October 5, 1917, in Jersey City, NJ, the son of Albert and Martha Schweitzer and had lived in Lebanon all of his life. He was a devoted family man, a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Lebanon and a charter member of the Lebanon Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Schweitzer owned and operated a poultry farm in Lebanon for most of his life and was employed for several years at Lyman Memorial High School. In addition to his wife he is survived by 3 children, Lorraine Schweitzer of East Hartford, Marie Reynolds of Lebanon, Albert Schweitzer and his wife Nancy of Lebanon, 2 sisters, Olga Munson of West Hartford, Martha Geer and her husband Harold of Glastonbury, 4 grandchildren Mark Reynolds and his wife Jackie, Julie Reynolds, Jared and Joshua Schweitzer, 3 great grandchildren, Lara, Jason and Samantha Reynolds, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Kathleen Schweitzer. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 328 Village Hill Rd., Lebanon. Burial will follow in the New Lebanon Cemetery.
