Adolph H. Douda

Adolph H. Douda, 91, of Storrs, died Saturday Sept. 4, 2010 at Regency Heights of Willimantic. He was born April 2, 1919 in Mansfield the son of Joseph and Johanna (Brandl) Douda. He was a World War II Army veteran and had retired from Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford. Adolph was a member of Uriel Lodge #24 AF & AM in Merrow and was active in several other Masonic organizations. He was also a member of Willimantic Elks Lodge #1311. Adolph took great pride in caring for his home and gardens. He was predeceased by his first wife Mildred (Johnson) Douda and his second wife Beatrice (Juul) Douda. He is survived by his daughter Linda Douda of Storrs and several nieces and nephews. His family will receive relatives and friends at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Tuesday Sept. 7th between 6:00 and 8:00pm. His funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:30am. Interment will follow in Storrs Cemetery with military honors.
