William Carney

William Carney, 92, of Lebanon, husband of the late Janice (Pierce) Carney, died peacefully Sunday September 17, 2017 at his home.  He was born July 6, 1925, the son of the late John and Milly (Ward) Carney. Bill was raised and educated in the Lebanon Schools and graduated from Lyman Memorial High School in 1943. He served in the US Navy during WWII.  Bill was a lifelong dairy farmer along with his beloved wife Janice, whom he married on May 22, 1950.  He leaves behind his daughters Sheila (Richard), Sharron, Sheryl, Stacey (David); six grandchildren, Guin, Miranda, William, Nora, Andrea and Davin; two great grandchildren, Penny and Aure; he also leaves his brother-in-law, Kendall (Phyllis) Pierce and sister-in-law Beverly Wood. Bill was predeceased by his five sisters, Irene Schmeelk, Edith Ferrigno, Ruth Pray, Ella Laidley and Hattie Greene.  There are no calling hours.  A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Lebanon Cemetery.
