Walter Joseph Piontek

Walter Joseph Piontek 95 of Mansfield Center passed away Sunday October 22, 2017. He was born in Mansfield Center, CT to the late Joseph and Bridget Piontek. Walter enjoyed the outdoors, puttering around in his yard, mowing or working in his vegetable garden.

He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Frances Pokorny, Sally Ritchie, Linda Parker, Stanley Syztek, John Dudeck Jr., Samantha Piontek; sister in law, Ann Piontek and several grand nieces and nephews. Walter is predeceased by his brothers, Frank and John Piontek and his sisters, Mary Syztek, Helen Dudek and Sophie Postemski. He lived a long happy full life and will be dearly missed.

Walter’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday October 27, 2017 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195), Willimantic with his Funeral service following at the funeral home. A burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
