Thomas Joseph Keegan Jr., 84, of Columbia, CT passed away Friday, May 25, 2018 with the love of his life, his wife, Norma (Lis) Keegan by his side. He was born March 5, 1934 in Stafford Springs to the late Thomas “Doc” and Frances (Woodworth) Keegan. Thomas was a lifetime member of the Columbia Volunteer Fire Department and also a member of the Elks Lodge. He retired from a 39-year career at Pratt & Whitney which started in 1952. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, and will be missed dearly.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Norma; sons, Scott and wife Lori Keegan, Glenn and wife Patricia Keegan; daughter in law, Susan Keegan all of Columbia; grandchildren, Derek Keegan of Cocoa Beach, FL, Benjamin Keegan of Columbia, CT, Brittany and her husband Anthony Wiltse of Southington, CT, Brianna Keegan and her partner Brandon Jordan, Steven Keegan, Morgan Keegan, Jared Keegan all of Columbia, CT; great grandchildren, Madilyn and Charlie Rae Keegan of Cocoa Beach, FL, Xavier Bonilla and Emmons Wiltse of Southington, CT; sister, Diana Perkins and her wife Michelle Giffin; sister in law, Edith Keegan; sister in law Phyllis and her husband Jack Lester, and brother in law John Lis. Thomas also leaves behind a number of beloved nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his son, Thomas Keegan and his brothers, Francis and Charles Keegan.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Windham and St. Francis hospitals for their compassion and care of Thomas.

There will be a Memorial Service 11:00 am Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the Church of the Holy Family 185 Church St. Amston, CT. Burial will be at the West St. Cemetery in Columbia at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Columbia Volunteer Fire Dept. (CVFD), 167 Rte. 66, P.O. Box 26 Columbia, CT 06237.
