Sharon Ann (Cobb) Bell, 61, of Palm Coast, FL and Columbia, CT entered into her eternal rest on March 27, 2017 after an 11-year battle with lung cancer.  Sharon completed her journey of life in the company of her family and longtime friend, Becky Main.  Sharon was the daughter of the late Arthur and Betty (Yurkshot) Cobb of Columbia, CT.  In addition to her parents, Sharon was predeceased by her beloved husband, David N. Bell, brother-in-law Tom Najduch and sister, Linda Najduch.

Sharon was born on April 8, 1955 in Manchester, CT and grew up in Columbia, CT.  Sharon attended Windham High before working for Southern New England Telephone Company as a Telephone Operator for over 16 years.  Sharon spent the better years of her retirement alongside her late husband, Dave, residing in both Florida and Connecticut. While in Florida, Sharon enjoyed the companionship of good friends, golfing, shopping, local dining and daily walks around the Sanctuary.  Sharon also enjoyed spending quality time in Connecticut, surrounded by family and friends at her house on Columbia lake.  Sharon will best be remembered for her love of impromptu cookouts, casino trips, scratch tickets and her cherished King Charles Cavalier fur baby, Charlie.

Sharon is survived by her brother, Brent Cobb (Roberta) of Columbia, CT; son, Derek Santa Lucia (Lori) of Columbia, CT; daughter, Jennifer Williams (Jamil) of Mansfield, CT; four beloved grandsons, Nicholas Santa Lucia, Lucius Brittian, Landon Davis and Leighton Fennell; two special granddaughters, Anna Gilbert and Ashley Boucher; two beautiful great-grandchildren, Brayden and Isabella Santa Lucia; five nephews, Jed (Nicole) and Taras (Lesa) Najduch, Nathan (Jennifer), Phillip and Zachary Cobb; three aunts, Betty Dunnack, Anne Cobb and Barbara Farrand; many supportive cousins as well as a dedicated group of close friends and an extended step family.

The family would like to offer our sincere thanks and gratitude to Dr. Alexander and staff of Coastal Oncology as well as Dr. Dailey and staff of Oncology Associates for the years of professional care Sharon received. The family would also like to thank the hospice nurses as well as Jeannine and Trinda Pacheco for providing comfort and support to Sharon during her last months.

A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Sharon on April 6, 2017 at the Columbia Congregational Church, 325 Route 87, Columbia, CT at 12pm.  A reception will follow.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ASPCA or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
