Roger W.B. Smalley, 79, of Hampton, CT went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 11th, 2017. He was born in Bidderford, Maine to the late Bertram and Myrtle (Strait) Smalley on July 27, 1938. Roger served in the Navy and then the National Guard in the 248th Engineering as a Recruiter. He retired from the Department of Transportation with the State of Connecticut. Roger was also a volunteer firefighter and EMT as well as a Constable for Hampton, CT. He loved Uconn Huskies girls basketball and loved to share his paintings. Roger is predeceased by his parents, his wife Sharon and a grandson Timothy Larson.
He leaves behind three daughters, Katherine (Ralph) Brand of Hampton Kimberly Larson of Hampton, and Karen (Joe) Landry of North Windham. He also leaves four grandchildren, Ronald Brand of Hampton, Jillian Larson of Brooklyn, Melissa Radell of North Windham and Keri Radell of Norwich. Six great grandchildren, Sister Marcia Matthews of Enfield, CT and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held at Christian Fellowship Church in Scotland on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 11:30 am.
