Dear Marquis Family: Please accept my deepest sympathy for the family and friends of Robert. We will never get used to losing our loved ones in death because as Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, we were created with everlasting life in view. But may you find comfort in knowing that Almighty God has promised that soon he will swallow up death forever along with the pain that it brings. (Isaiah 25:8) God has also promised that he will return "Bob" to you as it says at John 5:28,29 and also Psalms 37:29. You can also learn more about what happens when a loved one dies, such as the grieving process, at JW.org.
Sincerely,
Susan

I mourn the loss of both Bob and Vi whom I knew only from a relative distance as a fellow fire alarm collector. Bob was always willing to share his knowledge of fire alarm and they both were very welcoming and kind when I visited. I met them both at the Allentown Fire Show over 20 years ago. I bought many fire alarm items from Bob over those years; I considered him a trusted friend. They both are missed greatly. My condolences to the family.

Trudy, Joan and Family,
Sorry to learn of your father's passing. Both he and Vi were great examples of small town volunteerism and dedication. I smiled reading the obituary when the license plate VIBOB was mentioned. You just can't think of one without thinking of the other.

I've known Bob from his stories of the house in Canterbury and the stories of Indian women haunting the old homestead. A nice man, lovely family.

In the grand scheme of things, we only knew Bob and Vi a short time, however, it felt like they were a part of our family. We'd meet them almost every morning at Pine Acres and talk for hours while other people came and went at our table.
It's just not the same without them. We cherish their place in our hearts and know that they are still sitting with us.

Sorry for your loss. Bob was a very special man. Bob grew up knowing him. My experience was in the ambulance. They were two very special people and we will never forget all they did for mom and dad.

Such a great deal of sadness and grief in such a short space of time. We are very sorry for the loss of your Dad - and Mom, in such short order. Fair winds, following seas to them both. Lind and John

My heartfelt thoughts are with all of you at this most trying time. I knew your Dad through EMS and it was obvious he took great pride in his Volunteering. I am sure that he is happy to be with your Mom but I know it doesn't lessen your missing him. Sending you all healing love and light to help remind you of all the joy you shared and to remind you of the light that you all can help to continue shining~
