Richard “Bagger” Paul Scepanski, 72, of Lebanon, husband of Sheila (Carney) Scepanski, died Friday July 13, 2018 at his home. Bagger graduated from NFA in 1964 where he was a successful member of the cross country team. He enlisted in the US Navy during the Vietnam War serving in Iceland. Bagger returned to Norwich working for Scepanski Roofing. He married Sheila January 14, 1978. Bagger was an avid sports fan, loving the New York Yankees. He bowled in several Norwich Leagues and was a lifelong lover and protector of cats. In addition to his wife, Shelia, he is survived by his brother Walter Scepanski, Jr.; nieces, Lori, Karen, Teri and Sarah; nephews David, Greg, and James Jr.; sister in-law Betty Scepanski. He was predeceased by his parents Walter and Helen (Cubanski) Scepanski and a sister Joan (Jim) Grills. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lebanon Volunteer Fire Dept., 23 Goshen Hill Rd. Lebanon, CT 06249.
