Raymond Stead Bugbee, 59, of Lebanon, passed away Thursday February 22, 2018 at his home after his battle with cancer. He was born April 1, 1958 in Willimantic CT, the son of the late Russell and Catherine (Stead) Bugbee. Ray was a quiet man who enjoyed his days at his lake home, hosting cookouts, and boating. He was an avid traveler, which included frequent trips to the caribbean and hiking in the white mountains. Ray retired as a supervisor after a dedicated 33 years with the State Department of Developmental Services where he touched many lives. Ray is survived by a son, Tom Bugbee and his wife Katie, and his grandson Logan. Ray is also survived by his brother Harold Bugbee and his wife Juanita of Danielson CT, brother Lee Bugbee and his wife Luba of Killingly CT, sister Janet Lynn of Plainfield CT, sister Rosae Zak of Danielson CT, and of course his girlfriend and loving companion of these last 11 years, Linda York of Coventry CT. Ray was predeceased by his sister Mary Irwin of Sunbury OH. Raymond family will receive relatives and friends on Monday February 26, 2018 from 4:00pm to 5:30pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte.195) Willimantic., with his funeral service beginning at 5:30pm.
