Norma Marie (Wylie) Bergeron, 95, of Willimantic, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 22, 2019. She has been reunited with her beloved husband Eugene Bergeron, Sr. and son Jerry Bergeron. She was born in Willimantic, the daughter of the late Thomas and Dora (Caisse) Wylie and predeceased by her siblings Lyle Wylie, Fidelis Casey, Bernard Wylie, twin sister Naomi Wylie, Beverly Hnath, Thomas Wylie, Curtis Wylie and Dora Heon.  Norma known to all who loved her as Memere or Auntie Norma, was a kindhearted soul. A fierce, strong, beautiful woman who loved her family more than anything in the whole world. She enjoyed spending the summers camping and traveling on big family vacations.  As Matriarch of the Bergeron Clan, she has taught us the true meaning of LOVE and FAMILY, which will be carried on by future generations.  She is survived by her son Gene Bergeron and wife Lillian Bergeron (Lebanon, CT), daughter-in-law Patricia Bergeron (Manchester, CT), and daughter Nancy (Bergeron) White and husband Gary White (Lebanon, CT). Additionally, she leaves behind 13 grandchildren: Lorrie and David Reid, Thomas and Nancy Bergeron, William Bergeron and Liz Musgrave, Kim and Thomas Rymarzick, Stephen and Katie White, Shawn and Michelle White, Katelyn White, Laurie Bergeron, and 9 great grandchildren: Ryan, Chelsey, Wyatt, Katherine, Dylan, Michael, Cody, Talon and Aubri.

Norma’s family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday February 26, 2019 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195), Willimantic.  Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 10:00am, meeting directly at St. Mary Church, 46 Valley St. Willimantic.  Burial will be held at a later date.
