Dear Johnny and family,
I'd like to share some memories of Michael. Mike was my next door neighbor and one of my best friends. I met him when he was a five year old dare devil, and that never changed. He was always ready to go on an adventure, either on foot or on our spider bikes. Usually carrying a fishing pole, a frog spear, a long handle fishing net, and a tackle box. We were like Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn. Mike was a natural born fisherman! This guy could catch a 24" rainbow trout where everyone said there were no fish. After realizing I could never out fish Mike, I settled for the amusement of watching him humiliate other fishermen until they left. He always knew what combination of bait would work, etc, etc.
Back in the day, I will always remember the good times we had during those endless summers; Flipping and diving off the steel railed cement piers that extended into the Natchaug River's deeper water. The larger pier having a long springy diving board attached to the end that Mike loved. When Lauter Park was too crowded, we'd go under or around the fence and head down river to the train tressel. Their we would jump off the top or it's cement support. He loved the tressels high rope swing, nothing scared Mike. As the summer waters warmed we could always count on a refreshing dive off the Parker Bridge into the always cool waters of the Hop River.
Mike was a great auto mechanic, with a certificate in auto repair from Hartford Tech. He was always there when you needed help with you car. And believe me I needed the help.
I know Mike's spirit is enjoying the great, great outdoors of heaven, pain free. Mike will be missed and never forgotten.

With our sincere sympathy and love,
John & Maggie

Sincere and deepest condolences to the Laplante family and friends for the loss of your loved one Michael. When Jesus Christ was here on Earth he performed all sorts of astounding miracles. He fed the poor Matthew 14: 17-21,cured people from whatever diseases and infirmities they had Matthew 9:35, brought back to life 8 people young and old that had fallen asleep in death one of them was his friend Lazarus that had been dead for 4 days John 11:11-44. These astounding Miracles that Jesus performed while he was here on Earth foreshadowed what he will do very soon right here on a brand new Paradise Earth no more sickness pain or death Life Without End Revelation 21:1-5 jw.org.
