Luis Enrique Cuevas-Cardona, 57, of Willimantic passed away Wednesday July 12, 2017. He was the son of Hilda Cardona and Victor Cuevas of Las Marias, Puerto Rico. Born in Las Marias, Luis has called Willimantic home for the last 45 years.
He attended Sagrado Corazon Church. Luis enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing and going to the firing range. He was employed by Willi Waste in Willimantic.
He was happy to have recently visited his family in Las Marias along with his life partner Gloria Ramos.
When his boys were younger Luis spent many sports seasons coaching them along with many of the youth in the Willi community. He left an impact on so many throughout the years.
He will be remembered for "checking the oil", the love for his family and a smile that would light up the room.
Luis is survived by three sons, Luis V Cuevas and his wife Monique, Jose E Cuevas, Javier Cuevas and his three grandchildren Vanesa, Alex, and Jaimie Cuevas.
