Luella (Larkins) Stahl

Luella Lorrain Stahl (Larkins), 89, of North Windham, CT, went to be with the Lord on the morning of December 22, 2017.

“Lu” Stahl, daughter of Charles and Hattie Larkins and sister of Earl Larkins and Arlene Schuey, was born in 1928 in Willimantic, CT. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Charles Stahl, as well as her three daughters: Roberta Ouellette, Pamela Bouley and Victoria Hemingway. Eleven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive her.

A loving wife and mother, Lu was devoted to her family, serving them faithfully throughout the years. Known as a “gal” with a song in her heart who loved to sing, there were so many who were blessed by her singing during her lifetime. Lu never met a stranger, as her friendly heart and kind smile left a lasting impression on everyone that was blessed with the opportunity to meet her.

She came to know the Lord Jesus Christ in 1994 and was an active member of Christian Fellowship Church for many years, singing in the choir and serving in the Senior Servant Group.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, on Thursday, December 28, 2017, at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic, CT 06226. The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior, at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at New Willimantic Cemetery.
