Rad and Leila were a gift that came from their universal love and acceptance. They knew me as the best version toward which I might aspire. A visit to Leila was long overdue. It's time to visit now in memory and appreciation. Thank you.

So many wonderful childhood memories with the Ostby family! One I cherish, is when my good friend, Rachel Robertson and I would go to your mom’s home after school to help her with odd jobs! She taught me so much during those idyllic afternoons. Leila will be missed, but her smile and laughter will live on in all our memories! My deepest sympathy to Howie, Edie and Eben and your wonderful families, your parent’s legacy. Lisa Burr Turcotte

I remember shopping for jewelry every Christmas and every Mother's Day, and for my mother's and grandmother's birthdays at Popover Hill, and looking forward to my own gift of a silver bracelet or a silver ring; I remember visiting the Cape for a week with the Robertsons and sailing with Rad; I remember caroling at Leila's every December, and her accompanying us with her set of jingle bells. We'll miss Leila - our family, our whole town. We'll miss her sincerity.

Leila will be so very much missed, not only for her tireless involvement with the community over many years but for her unquenchable enjoyment in life. She truly had the gift of happiness, one she was more than willing to share.

You have our deepest sympathy.

Sad to hear of your mom's passing. The end of an era! So many wonderful remembrances- a great trip camping across country, ice skating at night with candles under the water buckets, playing at the apple tree in the corner! Horseback riding, swimming. So many good times! A wonderful lady who will be missed.

I’m so sorry for your loss and I wanted to send my heartfelt sympathy. I personally look forward to the wonderful promise of a resurrection at John 5:28,29. We have the opportunity to see our loved ones again under the beautiful conditions described at Psalms 37:10,11. I hope these scriptures bring you some peace during your difficult time.

To The Entire Ostby Family- My deepest condolences to you all and may you be comforted by the outpouring of love surrounding you.
While there is no way I can feel your pain, I feel your loss since I have known Leila most of my life. I had such fun visiting with her over this last year as she was teaching me lessons in life, simply by living her life. We enjoyed reminiscing about years gone by and I especially enjoyed listening to her talk about her family and family history. She was so proud of her family and I feel like I know her grandchildren and great grandchildren through the stories she told. She was quite a character and one to be admired and loved by all. She will most certainly be missed...Hugs

To the Ostby Family,
Swimming in the pond, raising of the barn and of course square dancing are some of my fondest memories.
Leila was a dear friend of my mother. They could be found planning Girl Scout outings, the Hampton's Anniversary parade and many other community activities. It warms my heart to think of the two of them now in heaven planning again.
Though tears are now flowing, what a remarkable life she lived and 50to the fullest. May your memories and love comfort you all.
With deepest sympathy,
Jennifer Burr Peterson
