Jewish life was important to her - she sang in the choir at the United Jewish Center in Danbury, was an active member of Hadassah in New Haven and Delray, and was President of the local chapter of ORT in Delray. Leila enjoyed attending services at the UJC (Danbury), Temple Mishkan Israel (Hamden) and Temple Sinai (Delray).

She is survived by her sons Kenneth and Lawrence; grandchildren Lauren, Jeremy and Alex of the United States and Avraham Shmuel, Yitzhak Isaac, Sara Chaya, Moshe Yehuda, Fraida Miriam, Chana Gittel, Brucha Yehudis, Shimon Asher, Dovid Yehoshua, Adel Zissa of Israel; great-grandchildren Micah and Eitan of NY, Charlotte and Zachary of Illinois and over 60 in Israel. Last month she became a great-great-grandmother.

Her family is grateful for the wonderful care and companionship provided to her at Hoffman Summerwood, the staff at Eldercare Consulting, the Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, and by Dr. Charles Shooks.
