Karen Eva (Dandelski) Mathieu

Karen Dandelski Mathieu, 52, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017 in Lebanon. She was born on March 24, 1965 in Meriden, to Eleanor (Clark) Amon and the late Robert K. Dandelski.

Karen was a member of the Maloney High School class of 1983. She worked at the University of Connecticut for over 26 years. Karen loved to be outdoors, she was creative and spent much of her time crafting and building things with her hands. She was an incredibly thoughtful person and always took pride in finding and making special gifts for loved ones. She was a NASCAR fan and loved attending races. Karen was a devoted mother, beloved daughter, adored sister and loyal friend.

Karen was predeceased by her partner, Donald Serbin, and is survived by three children, Jennifer Murphy and her husband Patrick, Jessica Mathieu, and Michael Mathieu. She also leaves behind her mother, Eleanor (Clark) Amon and her step father, Fredrick Amon, three siblings; Linda Mansolf, Cheryl Dandel and Kenneth R. Dandelski and his wife Mary, nephew; Keith Mansolf, and nieces; Amy (Mansolf) Brault, Kayla Dandelski and Tara Dandelski as well as 4 great nieces and nephews. Karen is predeceased by her father Robert K. Dandelski and brother-in-law Llewellyn Keith Mansolf.  Karen will be greatly missed and forever loved.
