Bob and I look back on the almost 50 years of happy and sad life events that we shared with Ed. We are sorry not to be there tomorrow for his celebration of life. We recall his joy when showing us his latest birdhouse creation and which state it was going to. The pride he felt at giving us all all the detail of his latest flea market find of an old tool and how it was used was so apparent. Our first Metropolitan Opera experience was a pair of tickets he gave us for Madame Butterfly. He also treated us to our first Broadway show, Jesus Christ Superstar, and my first ballet, Swan Lake. How wonderful to spend your working days at these venues. Many Thanksgiving and Christmases were celebrated over the years. He loved his puppies and Columbia lake - not necessarily in that order. He will be missed.
