Jane Frances Taylor

Jane F. Taylor (Marrotte), 64 of Danielson Connecticut passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loved ones on November 20, 2017. Jane was born at Windham Hospital on January 9, 1953 to her parents Albert and Doris Marrotte. Jane graduated from Hartford Schools. Jane attended Windham Tech where she graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Jane went on to further her education at Three Rivers Community College in Norwich Connecticut where she earned her Associate’s Degree in Nursing and became a Registered Nurse. Jane excelled as a nurse in school she earned high honors and in the field she was appointed to supervisory positions. Jane worked in several facilities and enjoyed working in several areas of nursing. Jane spent a majority of her career working with adolescents as a psychiatric nurse for the State of Connecticut.

Jane had one child, Jessica Jane Robinson (Taylor). Jane and Jessica were very close they shared an unbreakable bond and it was easy to see the mutual love, respect, and admiration they had for each other. Jane always referred to her daughter as her “one and only, her pride and joy.” When asked what her greatest accomplishment was without hesitation she would say her daughter.

Jane was a free spirit with a heart of gold who was a hard worker, independent, smart, feisty, strong, loving, kind and loved to care for others. Jane was always there for you when you needed anything and was always there to reach out a helping hand. Jane enjoyed traveling to Sedona Arizona, her time living in Vermont and returning to see the foliage, shopping, singing, dancing, fishing, camping, going to the beach, tag sailing gardening, reading, meditation. attending spiritual church, taking her daughter and her daughter’s friends on vacations, and spending time with friends especially Patricia Baxter and Erica Bott. The thing that made Jane truly happy was spending time with her very large family especially “The kids.”

Jane is survived by her daughter Jessica Robinson (Taylor) and her husband Scott Robinson, her brother Mark Marrotte, and her former husband and friend Ron Taylor.

Jane is predeceased by her parents Albert and Doris Marrotte, her brothers Anthony, David, and Timothy Marrotte and her sister Mary Mainville, and special friend Dominic Pasquale.

The family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday November 29, 2017 from 5-7 pm at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. Willimantic, CT. A Memorial Mass will be Thursday November 30, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church 99 Jackson St Willimantic, CT at 10 am with burial to follow at St Joseph Cemetery.
