Honor E Sullivan

November 6, 1927 ~ February 25, 2018 (age 90) 90 Years Old

Honor Elizabeth Sullivan, 90, of Leeds, MA formerly of Taftville, CT and Holland, MA passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018. Born November 6, 1927 in Hamden, CT to the late William J. and Agnes (Lamb) Sullivan, Honor was the third of seven children. Honor attended Hamden Schools, Larson Junior College and graduated with a Master's Degree from the University of Connecticut. Honor taught in the Lisbon and Preston Schools and worked as a social worker for the State of Connecticut. After retirement, she was an outreach worker in Holland, MA.

Along with her parents, Honor was predeceased by her brother, James Sullivan. She is survived by three brothers: William J. Sullivan Jr. of Richmond, VA, John Sullivan of Hamden, CT, and Robert Sullivan of Franklin, NC; two sisters: Esther Malone of Griswold, CT, Margaret (Polly) Bentley of Waterbury, VT and a host of nieces and nephews. An out-going and friendly person, Honor will be missed by many friends. 

The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic, CT, with visitation half hour prior at 9:30 A.M. Burial will follow the service at Lovett Cemetery in Sprague, CT. A reception will be held at Esther Malone's home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations in Honor's name be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202.
