What a wonderful gift to have known one Gloria Holbrooke. I personally feel blessed with such good memories- at her house playing Scruples or enjoying an event, while substitute teaching at Rham, when visiting at my family home , even at my brother Dave's house and at Turf as she helped me close his estate. She had to have been a tough act to follow. She even came bearing gifts for my then newly adopted children. She shared great stories and many chuckles over the years. Her handwritten messages and cards were touching and her continued warmth will not be forgotten, but rather preserved in my heart . Probably in the hearts of many. I mourn her loss and feel honored to have had such a champion in my corner through good times and tough ones. My heart goes out to the whole family. God bless you all. Cathy Engelhardt

Dear Holbrook Family: Please accept my deepest sympathy for the family and friends of Gloria. We will never get used to losing our loved ones in death because as Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, we were created with everlasting life in view. But may you find comfort in knowing that Almighty God has promised that soon he will swallow up death forever along with the pain that it brings. (Isaiah 25:8) God has also promised that soon he will return Gloria to you as it says at John 5:28,29. You can also learn more about what happens when a loved one dies at JW.org.
